Chapter Nine
Tarek got up from the ground and brushed off his clothes. He was plagued with conflicting emotions as he steadied himself on shaky legs. He looked over at Micah, who was pulling the fish off of its stick and placing it on a rock as he prepared to cut it with his knife.
Neither of them had spoken a word since Tarek had sucked him off moments earlier. Only minutes had probably passed since Micah pulled up his pants and refastened them, but the awkward silence that surrounded the campsite made it feel like hours.
In a moment of regret and guilt, he wondered if this was how he’d made Micah feel just last night. It was no secret that Tarek was abrasive and generally unloved by the Z Pac members, but he couldn’t help it. He was bitter and angry ninety percent of the time. It was just who he was. He didn’t even mean to be an ass most of the time. It usually just came freely, almost like an untapped fountain of nasty behavior.
“You gonna stand over there all night acting weird? Or are you hungry?” Micah asked.
“Actually, I’m starved.”
“Well, come on then. I’m not going to force-feed it to you. If you want some, come and get it.”
Tarek walked over, purposely taking his steps slowly and quietly as he tried to regain some composure. His own dick was still aching and hard. He wanted to fuck and release the tension that was building inside of him, but for some reason he felt like a virgin all over again.
Tarek Falco may be many things to many people, but shy had never been one of them. He never had a lot of lovers. Really if he counted, it would only be a few, and that included Micah. He never really had the skills to manage any type of relationship, much less one that involved emotions. So he usually resolved himself to an occasional fuck whenever someone was willing and just masturbated whenever the urge struck him.
Knowing this probably explained why he hadn’t had sex in almost three years. He may only be in his mid-twenties, but it was pretty obvious that with age he became crankier and more difficult to contend with. Maybe his brother had been right. Maybe, but his brother was hardly what he wanted to be thinking about right then and there as he sat by a campfire with Micah.
Micah handed him a section of fish. “Here you go. I didn’t feel like scaling it, so just pull it open and eat it from the inside. Just stop when you get to the scales.”
“Thanks, but I know how to eat it like this.”
Micah shrugged and took a bite. “Thirsty?”
“Yeah, a little bit.”
Reaching over, Micah handed him the bottle that he’d been drinking from earlier. “Try this.”
“What is it?” Tarek asked, scanning the bottle for a label of some kind.
“A home brew.” Micah winked. “Can’t find it anywhere else but on the Tulsen Ranch. The recipe’s been passed down for generations.
